Why have a renewal of vows?
Renewing your vows is a popular choice to celebrate a special anniversary or to mark an important milestone. It is not a legal ceremony.
Couples who legally marry abroad often choose to have a renewal ceremony when they get back to the UK.
Your renewal ceremony can include traditional wedding elements such as exchanging rings and personalised vows or bespoke elements such as a flower ceremony.
Renewal of vows is only for couples that are already legally married or have formed a legal Civil Partnership.
